For cooking.If a bottle of oil says it's 100% pure does that mean it's refined?
the thing you have to remember about anything that say 100% of something doesnt make it better per say for example 100% olive oil doesnt mean anything because it could be made out of old reject olives that cant be made into anything else. most oils if they are refined will tell you and if not look for the word pressed. pressed is normaly a better oilIf a bottle of oil says it's 100% pure does that mean it's refined?
It might be refined or filtered, but 100% pure usually means that there are no other things in it. For example, if its 100% pure olive oil, there will be no other ingredients, including other types of oils. 100% pure vegetable oil will be only vegetable oils, no animal byproducts. Filtering and processing usually DO occur however to make it safe and clean for human consumption and prolonged storage.

How is crude oil formed in the earth before being refined?
Below are links to sites that describe in detail the formation of crude oil. I hope this will help!

What is highly refined peanut oil versus hydronated oil?
Peanut oil has a very high ';smoke point';.
That is. You can heat it WAY up before it will begin to break down, smoke and eventually, burn. Refining peanut oil can have a number of meanings, but often, it means that impurities and lesser fractions of the oil are removed to actually increase the high heat tolerance.
Hydrogenating any fat involves whipping hydrogen into the fat in order to take up molecular ';spaces'; that allow the fat to become rancid and spoil. This is one of the reasons that margarine has remained on the scene. It just doesn't go bad (as butter does) for a considerable time.
The bad thing is: You can take a nice clean oil with no (or very little) trans-fat and hydrogenate it into a very bad, but long-lived and tasty fat that will rocket your cholesterol into the stratosphere.
It's a trade-off.
Best wishes!What is highly refined peanut oil versus hydronated oil?
Peanut oil is nutritionally similar to olive oil in the proportions of fatty acids it contains, being high in monounsaturates and low in saturates (SFA), with monounsaturated oleic acid (C18:1) predominating:
SFA MUFA PUFA MUFA + PUFA
Olive Oil 14.0 69.7 11.2 80.9
Peanut Oil 18.8 47.8 28.5 76.3
Both monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fat have been shown to decrease total and LDL-cholesterol levels when substituted for saturated fat, reducing the risk of coronary heart disease. Unsaturated fats have also generally been shown to help lower blood cholesterol levels.
# Peanuts contain no cholesterol.
# It is generally accepted that the majority of fats consumed should be unsaturated and that reducing the intake of saturated fats is the key dietary factor in reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease. Replacing saturated fats with monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats is more effective in preventing coronary heart disease in women than reducing overall fat intake.
This accords with the view that the ';Mediterranean diet';, in which monounsaturated fatty acids obtained from olive oil predominate and there are also high intakes of vegetables and fruit, is associated with lower rates of coronary heart disease.What is highly refined peanut oil versus hydronated oil?
Hydrogenated fat Sticks to the side walls of ur arteries..whereas peanut oil is sensitive oil and it should not be treated atheat since it looses uits nutrients..Refined usually means good stuff taken out of the oil so and bad stuff added..try juts plain peanut oil. Dont buy stuff with refined or hydrogenated written on it.
Peasnut I beleive has HDL (good cholestrol) and I think faaty acids..god for ur body on the other hand hydrogenated or refined stuff might have all good stuff taken out and bad added.

Can we refine snake oil and run our cars on it? ?
there seems to be plenty of it on our home soil, and we don't even have to drill for it.Can we refine snake oil and run our cars on it? ?
we could but it would take 5-10 months to benefit us so the hell with it Can we refine snake oil and run our cars on it? ?
Probably, but there isn't nearly enough of it to produce anything close to what is needed to supply a fleet of automobiles.
Liberals are developing a car that runs on Patchouli. God bless 'em.
cons would love for you to think so.

How many liters of petrol or diesel can be refined from 1 barrel of crude oil?
The barrel (abbreviated bbl) is the name of several units of measurement.
* Oil barrel: 42 U.S. gallons, 158.9873 litres[1], or approximately 35 Imperial gallons (34.97231575 exactly).
This is used for crude oil or other petroleum products. The measurement originated in the early Pennsylvania oil fields. Both the 42-gallon barrels (based on the old English wine measure, the tierce) and the 40-gallon (151.4 liters) whiskey barrels were used. The 40-gallon barrel was the most common size early, but companies often underfilled them with less. However, the Standard Oil Company shipped its oil in barrels that always contained exactly 42 gallons. Customers began to refuse to accept anything less and by 1866 the oil barrel was standardized at 42 gallons. Since Standard Oil painted its barrels blue, it was abbreviated ';bbl'; for ';blue barrel';. The Standard Oil monopoly was broken up into 34 different companies in 1911 and oil has not been shipped in barrels for a very long time[2], but today the ';blue barrel'; is still the standard unit for measurement and pricing of oil.
* UK beer barrel: 36 UK gallons (163.7 L)
* US beer barrel: 31 U.S. gallons (117.3 L), the result of tax law definitions.
* US non-beer liquid barrel: 31.5 U.S. gallons (119.2 L), half a hogshead.
* US dry barrel: 105 dry quarts (115.6 L).How many liters of petrol or diesel can be refined from 1 barrel of crude oil?
I wondered the same thing last week. it came out to about 19.4 gallons (if not, it's real close.)

Where will all the oil be refined at now there will be so much from?
offshore drilling if it passesWhere will all the oil be refined at now there will be so much from?
Not too sure, it is possible just off the shore of TX in the Gulf of Mexico.Where will all the oil be refined at now there will be so much from?
An excellent question since there have been no new refineries built in the last 30 years. Most of the oil would would just substitute for oil from the Middle East. So it could go through the current refineries available. Since demand is going to increase whatever is done, there will be a need for new refineries.
