dunno about cost (it will probably depend on how much of each fuel type you want to get out of it), but I know that oil firms make like $0.20-30 in profits on each gallon they sell.What is the average cost of refining 1ltr of oil, for big oil companies (in US dollars)?
Let me begin by saying I don't know. However, something to consider is that the cost will likely vary from company to company as each has their own way of allocating costs, and depending on size and fixed costs, they all will likely be in a similar ballpark. I'm not sure there will be one set number.
