But I love walking around without a clue as to why things happen the way they do. I'm slowly becoming numb to the ability of the petroleum industry at holding us hostage, and the government letting them get away with it. I think someone needs to invest in some new refineries somewhere, perhaps Crawford, TX?What would the Republicans do if oil refining and production was included as a utility like water %26amp; sewage?

You make a strong point that these two double talkers above me couldn't talk their way out of. Now I have read numerous questions and answers from you, and I'm sure that isn't what you were thinking was it? I could honestly say that if Gasoline was rated as a utility same as Natural Gas is already there wouldn't be any argument or war in Iraq right now. The Republicans couldn't use this for a wedge between the rich and poor like they are so good at implementing. I moved from Indianapolis to Canada to save my retirement from General Motors last year when the Allison Truck and Bus plant closed down. The top answerer has absolutely no idea about Unions and where the investments go, most went to the hospitals the Union Workers used and built in their communities. Now there is nobody to go to those Hospitals and be patients with the loss of the Unions. The Republicans did this to themselves.
I love jingoism. You must believe that the Republicans control all business and energy. This country has been Democratic for most of its existance and we get Republican Presidents only when the Dem Party gets ultra flaky as in the last two decades. We went to war in Iraq with a Democratic majority in the Congress voting to do it. Labor unions and pensions are all tied into the stock markets and that rest solidly on oil profits. You do not have to be a Republican to buy oil stocks and make money from oil, in fact, many of the liberal elite (rich people who makes decisions about social justice that they do not have to pay for) are wealthy because of the oil profits. People who see every issue as Rep/Dem or lib/conservative are political cultists who thank God X each other at the polls. Thats both right and left.
I'm sure they'd manage to screw that up like every thing else they have control over. You ought to have known that.
