How much gasoline is refined or cracked from one barrel of crude oil?

It depends on the process and type of crude, but normally somewhere between 17 gallons and 25 gallons. Depending on the technology used the refiner can elect to vary within this range. The remaining product is mostly fuel oil/diesel. (Right now Diesel is more valuable so they are likely producing on the low end of my gasoline range).
