Distillation. As the number os phases increase in distillation process we get purer and purer forms of gasoline. Like if we see the fuel used by formula1 cars is octane97 (97% purified crudeoil) comes at the highest level of distillation and so is very costly while the general consumption gasoline is Octane 92. Now-a-days in India we are getting Octane 94 for consumption as well
